Right, from the interest people showed in the main l4d2 thread on the idea.


We're going to try and start some regular teams to play games against each other so we can have some good team games without the hassle of RQ's etc on team vs.


Post up and I'll edit your name into the op then people can form teams (either in this thread or privately and then just say the team)

Config options.


We've got servers running both so we could probably swap between them or would people prefer a standard? (insanity is considerably different to oconfuk (ellu is the ****est person at making names ever) as it changes infected where as oconfuk doesn't so if one team constantly plays one it will be a bit different when they play a team that uses the other, maybe we could have home and away games in that case :p)

* Tanks and Witches spawn on every level. (Except a few or where witch steals the spot)
* Medkits outside of the safe room removed and replaced with Pills.
* Defibrillator Kits removed entirely.
* Grenade Launchers removed entirely.
* Tank spawn protected from fire/melee/damage for 2 seconds after player control. (Not Working atm)
* Fire does slightly more damage to survivors.
* Common Infected do slightly more damage from behind than standard.
* Common Infected mob size increased to 40. (default 30)
* !Pause Plugin allows an Admin only to pause the game during long periods of time when players are AFK.
* Ghost speed slightly increased
* Witch and Tank spawn on same spot for both teams

Survivors:
-Survivors now revive and heal faster
-Fire does 75% of expert damage
-Now have more health on revival
-Slowed by 5% in water

Infected:
-Ghost speed Increased
-Witch has double health, moves faster and does more damage
-Boomer Vomit delay removed, can vomit when moving & claw does more damage
-Smoker tongue range increased slightly, has more health and drags faster
-Hunter claw does more damage, Maxium hunters at a time is now 2
-Jockeys move faster
-Chargers Charge further and do more max damage
-Tanks take longer to Burn, remain stunned for less time, health changed
-Can now select Infected class on spawn by pressing RELOAD button.
-2 tanks now appear at finale at a time
-Surprise at end of finale for survivors

I was asked by Tefal to post up the Insanity Versus Changes again so here they are.

Insanity Versus:
General:
-No Mercy and Blood Harvest Installed

Survivors:
-Survivors now revive and heal faster

May alter water speed settings as the teams get better. Am also tempted to remove the Character selection, however I will leave the multiple hunter selection enabled.

Something like that, although that isn't actually correct, let me edit it...

it's never pot luck, you get the same infected as the team before, it's how you save/burn them that ****s up the order :p

Thats still pot luck imo. Except for the first spawn it just depends on how fast your opponents move. It'll make for a better game.

If we get enough people I'll probably make a little site to track wins or something, but I don't want it to become to competitive, just some challenging games where no one will rage and tactics will be used.


Also, I never chose to be on your team Tefal... :D

(spawn miles in front of steve so he gets distracted and leroys ahead, then pick the proper players off from the back whilst steve continues to leroy/fail/die)

you do exact opposite for evil :D he likes chasing smokers backwards
 
I'd be interested in a team but as I've said countless times before I can only play about midnight at the weekends or after 11pm during the week (and only every second night).

Think I've got no chance really.
 
I can't get on the PC until both of the following happen:
1. Daughter goes to bed - 8pm
2. Wife goes to bed - between 10.30pm and 11pm

In addition I must go to bed with my wife on alternate nights during the week so that:
1. We can lie there together not having sex.
2. I'm not totally knackered at work every day from sitting up to 3 in the morning playing PC games or online poker.

If the above conditions are not met then I am firmly in the bad books and my easy life gets made more complicated.

I hardly play L4D 1 or 2 any more cause all my friends are offline or already in game by the time I get on and people on the pubs are generally ***** incapable of seeing a game through to the end. I remember when Insanity Versus game used to kick off after 11pm...happy times.

Edit: Just noticed that a word in my above post has been automatically starred out. Surprised at that as I wouldn't even consider it to be mildly offensive unless someone was calling you it. Oh well.

Edit 2: Now it's unstarred. Strange.

I'm tempted to say stick my name down, but I'm a total nub and I've only just started playing. Any other nubs, or pros that need a handicap? :D
