anyone had a play with 1.9.6?
We've already decided and vaguely communicated what will be happening when the new version comes out.
It goes something along the lines of....... To begin with, the new 1.0 map will be brand new and blank, and everyone will start there with no tools/items/houses. After a while, we will be able to jump across to the 1.7 map, and a short while later I believe that builds from the 1.7 map will be moved to 1.0.Have a you a linky to this information please?![]()
Did you happen to see my post here FT? http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showpost.php?p=20563456&postcount=3613
A community mine would become just a pointless mess of tunnels extremely fast.
That looks very similar. I'll check it out later. It's possible that someone else picked up the plugin after the original author dropped it.

The newbies could be given access to a 'managed' mine, where we let people dig freely in certain areas (keeping resources), but we turn the mine into an underground chamber.
Tefals Dwarf fortress is an excellent example of what we could do with a community mine.
Sign posts on the door to the mine explaining the dig requirements.
- Dig chamber one is currently active (dig here within 30 blocks of position X only)
- Dig chamber two is now completed (so closed for mining)
- Dig chamber three is currently active (dig here for 60 blocks from position X and 30 from position Y)
Collaborative work, only works when everyone has a vested interest (i.e something to gain) and getting resources is a pretty simple way to encourage access, we can easily manage access with signs to, it just requires a plan.
Once completed or if determined a failure then I would be happy to turn it into a real build.
Yeah quite possibly, it's a good plugin afterall..
