Could you restart the server actually? I was just afk at the spawn point and come back to find myself dead and a massive hole in the sand..
Edit, actually no point since you said you couldn't find where to turn off the spawn protection. Ignore this!

Yeah I seem to remember it being in there too. Although this is the first time I've tried running bukkit on my pc so I don't know if it's been in there pre-1.0.

This is a test server. Bukkit still hasn't released a recommended build yet.

1.7 portal won't be for a couple of weeks after the proper server is out.

Must admit, even though everything is only temporary, i enjoy the fresh start to build stuff

also amazing how quickly you can jump in, get coal iron and diamonds then build a semi decent structure to house stuff when you know what you're doing (unlike the last time i started fresh)

Managed to get a decent sized stack of iron and 8 diamonds along with a stone brick house built in 1-2 hours of playing around last night.

Only hit a slight snag when i merrily dug down to bedrock only to find that /spawn and /home didn't work
