Also here is some info on rail stuff - brief but pretty much what we have at the moment around spawn. i'l sign post and add colours to the lines in game this evening when i'm on!

Theres two near my house, one half built and another that needs some work.

My house should be public, then go out the front door and keep going about 100 blocks until you see a small green hut, just go down the stairs and they are in there. ;)

Could I request a line added to the rail please? From the corner of the red line where the black obelisk thing is, down to the bottom right corner of that image and about another 1cm further. I don't mind laying the track, I have thousands of pieces spare, but I just didn't want connect it without asking first :).

That is absolutely fine!!! either chuck me some rails/stone and il get to work or just make it yourself with the line just about connecting. Then you'l need to make a 3 way intersect or get me or sum1 else to do it! - i should probably get you-tubing tutorials for the less complicated intersections >.<

-have a look at the rail from spawn for construction ideas, i've used torches every 12 for max light efficiency and powered rail every 36 (after the initial 3 in a row boost) for max speed efficiency.

Excellent. I'll probably need someone else to do the intersection, but I should be fine laying the track :).

This is the general route of the track:


Can the owners of the properties outlined in yellow, please let me know how close I can get to, or how far I should stay away from, their properties. I don't plan to get too close but want to make sure everyone is happy. The one the track goes directly over, looks like a cave entrance.
I will continue it in the same style, so above ground supported by stone pillars.

Awesome - not sure on track colour, but as there are many different colours of wool, just pick one that hasnt been used so far on the map! also if the above people with yellow circled places want stations nearby do let us know so we can sort something out!
 
Mine is the one on the right. I am fine for it to go there as I plan to go to my old build when it is transferred over. In the mean time, can you make it as low to the ground as possible? But not to low as to let mobs get on the track :D

I want a station! Would be a big help when I transfer my junk :p

When you say track colour, do you mean for a rail guide or track overview??

I'll start building my line extension this week, it shouldn't take too long as I have tons of stone and track.
 
My brother's build is the weird tree wall tree thing. I'll ask him about this. Can't imagine it being a problem though.

When i say track colour i guess it will apply to both, and also on buttons that are on that track or at interchanges which switch directly to that track! Just so that it is clear for players who are trying to get somewhere,

Signs will say which direction and the next stops, and the colour will indicate which line you are currently on.

We never install snapshots on the main server as they are unstable and require Bukkit updates to work. Sometimes we will run a test server with the snapshots/betas, but only if there is some major new feature we want to check.
 
Player Bans

JordyGFC + Jayster94 Permanently banned for continued greifing, trolling and making the Admin's life difficult and have breeched their final warning. We remind players to have fun but not at other players/admins expenses.
 
Daft question - Does glowdust grow back? I have been in the nether for 2 hours and cannot find any glow dust for making nice lights. Does the nether have hidden caves/caverns with the stuff or has it all been mined?

Most of it is all gone, you might get lucky and find some, but it's unlikely.
