I have mentioned this to MAxi & a few others in the server tonight & thought I see what other people thought.
Player of the month - members nominate 1 member for player of the month - this could be for being helpfull / assisting with a big build / advice / support - just a few suggestions on the reasons - the player with most votes would then be awarded a small chest of goddies (smaller than the donantion chest)
one of Maxi's concerns is that groups or frioends will only vote for each other, but everyone should be in with teh same chance so a reson must be given
the past few weeks so many people have helped me out with different problems or lack of an item & what better way to say thx than to nominate & if that person has helped someone else they could get a 2nd vote.
you could have a week to place name noimnations & then 3 weeks for other memebrs to vote for each canidate.?

Hello all.
Two questions:
1) Will the nether ever be rescaled? I'm was planning to start some work on a rail link, but I'd like to know if it was worth waiting or just making it now and much, much longer,
2) Is it ok to build a small basement under my bookshop in the arena? It wont go anywhere near the ring, dont worry.

As long as you dont damage the arena you can re model the shop how you need. Just dont go crazy. also out side walls are to be left as they are.
this is abusable to be honest. A good idea but one that is hard to make fair.

@tinfoilchef ... although we may make grinders obsolete in the future. For instance, exp orbs are only dropped if a player did the killing

@jeb_ That's ok, if I'm using a mob grinder I want the drops more than the exp orbs

@tinfoilchef Yeah but that was what I was hinting at... We haven't changed it yet, but we may make drops work the same way as orbs..

I know spawners can be impressive, tricky to build, and very useful but I sort of think that they're cheating a bit. A lazy way to get resources IMO.
Really looking forward to 1.8 along with the brand new generated map for the server
.You can already. You just mine in the dark and kill and creepers that come your way!
(but yes, I agree about the gunpowder although I think it should be quite rare)
If they fix the issue of getting GP then i am happy to remove my spawner
they are an ugly thing but currently a necessary build.
