** Official OcUK RIFT Guild **

maybe switching server would be a good idea not sure should discuss this on the clan forum though as i doubt may will be watching this thread.

From experience it's always better to stay off the popular beta servers when possible at the start. You get less queues, less idiots and have more chance in shaping the server community. Although saying that, at the end of the first month most guilds will be down to a quarter of their opening size ;)

I've got no idea what I've just bought or what I'm signing up to. Thanks OcUK...

PS. Can I DL the complete client at work and move it home?

Yeah this...didn't play the beta or anything, just been keeping an eye on the beta thread and snapped up the OcUK deal, better be good! :D

Downloaded client in 30 min, gotta love 40Mb. Roll on thursday!

Also Cloudborne (after doing a bit of research) was the busiest beta shard. Seems likely a lot of people will stick to the same shard hoping to see the same people they met during the beta.

From a few googles it seems that a lot of guilds are talking about Cloudborne, including goha.ru - apparently a MASSIVE community of Russian players. There also seems to be some talk from the Aion community about guilds migrating games and rolling on Cloudborne.

I know it's all speculation at the moment, but the impression I'm getting is that Cloudborne is going to be the focus of competing raid guilds and Russians. Not that I've anything against Russians, but it the Russian gaming community decides to make that the server they all roll on.. well it can cause problems.

My WoW realm - before the Russian servers went live - became the focus of the Russian gaming community and 1 out of 3 guilds was Russian speaking only. Almost every day we'd encounter a party member who couldn't speak any English, but was propped up by his guild.

If goha.ru are headed there and WAR's and Aion's top raiding guilds are heading there, my suggestion lies STRONGLY with Whitefall.

I know you get trolls, people who don't speak english, raiders taking it all too seriously and the like on any server - but from early speculation it looks like Whitefall is going to have the least.

Maybe the russians the Aion and WAR clan are thinking on the same lines and want to start on a fresh server too?

If people had to wait a hour and a half to log in, they might want to jump ship also.

By the looks of there forums they are enjoying the competition and are gunna stay on cloudborne.
