The higher clocked 6 and 4 core AMD zen chips should match the even the 7700K in gaming, and clearly the 1800X (Half the cost) is more than a match for Intel's larger core chips.

AMD hit a home run here, absolutely awesome !
 
I'm out, with that kind of single core performance I'd need Ryzen to hit a guaranteed 4.5Ghz before it would match Intel's best.

Oh well, maybe once they've refined the process and overclocks get better I'll take another look, although I will wait to see if the 1500X 6c chips clock higher before making a final
decision.

I suspect there will be quite a few disappointed people who pre-ordered today..even if they'll never admit it on here :)
 
You do not over hype a product base on 1st party slides. Do not ever over hype a company beyond its limits that is all i want to say.
