After much consideration and contemplation I have decided to bring back the Off topic thread. The last one was a clear force for good until it was ruined by a storm of corruption, deceit and a longing for a completely free space for posting, the latter of which clearly some posters can not handle nor deserve.

This time the thread has to have a sponsor, every page must have a decent car advert, this is to remind certain people that whilst this is the Off Topic thread, this is still motors dammit.

There is also a set drunk posting limit, it is the same as the drunk driving limit. Post intoxicated above that level and you will no longer be allowed to post in the thread. (I have no idea how to enforce that as my Mod campaign has far from started yet alone be successful yet)

Please respect the mods, opinions and other posters.

Relevant numbers

0800 1111 - Child line - If you are suffering from something really dumb and want to post about it but are under the age of 16, please consider phoning these people instead of bothering the Off Topic thread.
P.S, never donate to the NSPCC, they are a horrible charity run by idiots.

08457 90 90 90 - Samaritans - If you are suffering from something really dumb and or serious and want to post about it, please consider phoning these people instead of posting in the Off Topic thread because we are neither trained to deal with or properly susceptible to hearing your issues.

That advert is the sequel to the original Super bowl Chrysler advert featuring Eminem.

Some of you may have missed it because you do not enjoy real sports like Football but instead prefer soccer and other girly games.

It owns.

Detroit is going through a hard time at the moment, nice to see a car company trying to help instead of just closing down. Obama owns, stimulus package owns.

I also like the pimp mien autos

Yeah those were good as well. The VW ones are the only ones I can remember off the top of my head and have made an impact. Other car adverts tend to wash over me if I'm watching TV. Same kind of affect that perfume/cologne adverts have. All pretentiously French art house style. You know the type. Black and white (sometimes colour with a focus on bold tertiary colours). Lots of billowing cloth. Whispered commentary. I remember the type/style of advert. But whether it's for Calvin Klein or Audi/Citroen/Renault/Fiat or something I never remember.

The super bowl commercials mostly are in the own zone.

Take Mercedes as well, feat P Diddy.

I wonder if the brief resurge in interesting posts and threads will take a hit in the light of this thread.

It's probably just a coincidence, but imo motors has been a lot more interesting since the previous threads closure.

I agree, this thread should be stickied, the old one seemed to bounce up and down the sub forum with every response detracting from the quality of the other threads.
