*** Official Planetside 2 Thread ***

There's not many ex-planetsiders who have too many bad things to say about it in my experience, and most are positively misty-eyed, me included. This is in contrast to a lot of pay-to-play games :)
 
Obligator "Hack the bases Contro consoul" ;) :P :D should be good if it follows the spirate of the first.
should try and catch up with Marcpolo, and his exalent vids he produced for fun and try and drum up interest.
 
Well boys and girls, http://www.planetside2.com just got updated and it has a trailer on the website, check it out!

I'm very much looking forward to it and I'm really hoping it fulfils every dream and hope I have about it. There's a lot of hype in my head for it to live up to and this trailer is a step in the right direction at least :D
 
Still a bit sceptical after the explanation of the new content/changes. Really need more information/beta to decide a major factor.

Trailer looks good though.

SOE still, meh. Trying to reset password, well a "forced reset" to play the original again but it's throwing errors, can't live chat or set a ticket without an account, phoning is out of hours and I can't at work, son of a!!!!.
Looking forward for more info on PS2 :D
 
wow, could SOE really be coming through for us on this one? That trailer looks pretty good, large scale, vehicles, doesn't look like they've screwed about with the gun combat, they weren't using Iron Sights, graphics decent enough but not something that'll cause your PC to die with the numbers of characters you'll have on screen.

I just couldn't help but laugh at the youtube comments on the machina hosted version, they were all accusing it of being a halo clone :D

Edit: I'm feeling incredibly nostalgic and just resubbed to planetside using my 45 days freetime, does anyone have an outfit that would take me in?

I'm really excited about this!

I've even tried to dig out my old planetside cd to no avail ... I'm certainly not paying for a new copy, I'll just have to wait for the sequel to arrive.

I don't know them.

From what I can see, you have to buy the game (no idea where from as the links don't work) then add the activation code which will then allow me to subscribe.

If it was easy to work out, I'd probably have given them my money already ...

Edit: found it - $9.99 from d2d

Well, finding your old copy wouldn't be any help then as you will have used the code for that on an account, which you'd then have to log in with to play the game anyway...
