I'm loving all the installed, played for 5 minutes, uninstalled comments. I did that with Halflife, it was just a game about a guy going to work on a train, it was crap:rolleyes:

I know what you mean - Final Fantasy 7 was also just about riding a train from what I could tell in my 5 minute attention span.

Yeah, I did that with HL2, it was just the same guy arriving at the wrong train station, total rubbish!

Installed it, played it, uninstalled it. The graphics are crap. Even on high. Disappointing.

I think the graphics are fantastic, the lighting especially, just looks brilliant.

On my moderate rig (i5 2500k @ 4ghz, 6970) it runs the game very well on high/medium settings and I would compare it to the graphics of Crysis 1 which I thought were brill. Love the motion blur effect.

Absolutely loving this game - played with 3 mates last night and we just went around taking out the smaller bases, avoiding the huge zerg fests.

We decided to change faction/server - now Vanu on Ceres, name is Snotman if anyone wants to add me.

OH and - there's a black friday sale on SC today, double SC!

I had a little go last night and just felt completely overwhelmed in terms of...."what the hell am I doing or meant to be doing!"

It runs perfectly fine on my rig.....steady 60fps on maxxed settings (allthough its not the best looking game)......might give it another try later, even if I havent a clue whats going on.

I was like that at first and it was VERY frustrating. My advice would be to not join a huge zerg fest (at a big base or bio lab) and go for the smaller outposts with only 1 or 2 capture points - you will get a much better understanding of what the different icons on the map/HUD means when you can see what you gain when you take the area over

The settings that I have found to work the best for me on my pc (i5 @ 4.2, 8gb ram, 5770 crossfire, ssd) is all on low apart from model detail, textures and terrain which are all on high. The game looks good to me, I know it could look better but until its optimized a bit more it's still more than acceptable.

I am getting 60+ fps running around and 40ish when in battle, which feels good for the most part.

I find that in big battles where FPS drops to around 40-45, the motion blur makes it feel much smoother than it actually is. A lot of people don't like motion blur but it works really well for me.

Loving the game. playing on Woodman EU as Vanu.

Had some great battles last night. I would like the infantry render distance to improve and some ultra textures but otherwise I'm loving it. There's no other game like it at the moment.

I saw more team play/cooperation in 1hr of base defence than I've seen in a month of playing BF3:

- Medics healing/reviving
- Engineers working to keep base turrets up.
- Soldiers on the upper levels firing at incoming infantry.
- Tanks moving out to attack incoming enemy

And voice chat, people giving tactical knowledge etc etc.

I have the game on max settings, averaging 30 fps which I find acceptable for smooth gameplay.

I commented about the slightly lacklustre graphics but on max its a lot better.

Didn't see any change in fps from increasing settings.

question is it possible to buy with station cash just a red dot for your gun , had a brief look last night
