I am having problems tonight. I can't get on the server (miller). I get the message saying i am 10th in the queue but it just stays like that for ever. if i click on leave queue and then rejoin it does the same again or says 0 in Queue/ calculating but does not calculate.

Going to re-boot my pc to see if that helps

TR have the highest pop on Miller and the best guns so are complete easy mode if you play those. BMC / BRTD are outfits for them.

Vanu have the next best pop, weapons aren't far behind TR. So if you like pwetty shiney lasers going pewpewpepwpepw out of your guns, play them. ISK is the only outfit that springs to mind though.

NC have a very low pop, pretty bad guns so if you're a bit of a masochist or really enjoy raging and enjoy finding new ways to make yourself rage, play them. CONS / WASP are outfits for them you could check out.

LOL despite the errrrrr simplified synopsis of the factions it isnt quite so distinct. Your best bet is to find a style of equipment you like. At any given point you can find your butt being handed to you or you can be in the Zerg, so really just try em all out. the only real distinction ive noticed is that TR have traditional weapons, VS have lasers and NC seem to like shotgun based equipment. They all kill equally effectively.

They really don't - the TTK times on TR weapons leave them best in most weapon classes. The VS are 0.1 to 0.2 seconds behind them in TTK and then the NC are 1 second or higher behind TR in TTK.. it's seriously bad how silly the weapon balance is in this game. Between that and the silly population that frequently has them the highest on 2/3 continents and at several points of the day all 3, you can't really describe them as anything but the easymode faction to play.
 
Am going to head onto one of the lower servers and go NC for some Vanguard fun. Going to try and get one nicely equipped out and a killing machine :D

Yeah sure, I often mutter how easymode it is when my chaingun is the only weapon in the game to have a 1 second delay between pressing the trigger and actually firing. Or how VS mags can crab sideways to dodge missiles? Every faction has its strengths and weaknesses. Nothing will put you down faster than an NC Max.

But the proof of the pudding is in map movement. Last night when I was on the continent lock history was two VS and one TR. If youre NC you might have a grumble or two, but really, easymode? This isnt CS and milliseconds really dont make a difference with these damage models. Aim for the face or its pretty much who reaches 0 health last, wins.

edit - Miller is a complete shambles tonight.

If I want to play this I'll have to buy a dedicated GPU. My APU ain't cutting the mustard, especially as the whole system resets itself when I get shot. :D

Shame, as I really don't wanna spend the cash.

I am on the AMD 10-5800K and it runs at around 25-30fps on medium with a couple of low settings.

Got a 7850 coming in the week, will give it a nice boost. Especially while they are £20 off this weekend!
 
well thats a bonus, been ultra warpy tonight.

Edit - from what i can tell, made it worse. Not in a very big firefight, had warping, invisible enemy and really poor draw distances. Hmph.
