I don't think the key will get you in the tech test which is what is occuring at the moment. However you will be in for the PC Gamer/Beta Test when it opens up in 1-2 weeks time.

A key sadly doesn't mean you're in the test, it just means you're in line, and it could be several weeks before you're invited to the test
