*** Official Planetside 2 Thread ***

One of the guys in my outfit knows someone at SOE and apparently its 3X's station cash on the 21st.

Lets hope its not BS. :)

How did you get them? I guess through ebay or something.

Not quite as dodgy but slightly risky reddit volunteer. The guy could just be sending us all the same codes but paid to his paypal account so im 99% happy, plus he has a lot of history.

Worth the punt for the extra 4500 sc for nowt!

Yeah if all works that'll be well good.

its triple station cash on the 21st - wouldnt that of been cheaper?

I have to say that the Infiltrator has become by far my favourite class, I've just come out of a session where I was camped on a hill just outside of the fighting picking off enemies as they popped out of the safety of their shields. I must have gone on at least a 40 man killing spree :D

When I finally got taken down I switched to my close range rifle with supressor and started flanking positions of enemies and picking them off one by one.

I had one last night where I managed to sneak onto the wall of the enemy fort we were fighting for, hack into an AA turret right behind about 10 people and a guy in the max suit, I threw a grenade and then started unloading into them with the turret and took nearly all of them down, then the others were picked off when they tried to flee. It meant that our guys could move up a little closer and helped us break into the fort.

It's stuff like this that really has me hooked at the moment, going on a nice spree or outsmarting the enemy and making a real difference in a fight, even though you're rarely acknowledged you still feel like you managed to turn the tide.

Nice story!

Planetside 2 is 100% about the moments. When you can say to your outfit "remember that moment when we...." there can be some boring gaps in-between the moments but when one comes along it's often so epic it more then makes up for the lapses. :D

Definitely my experience so far. Enjoying it general but you just get those few moments that stand out.

My favourite moment so far was playing as engineer, kept trying to get a turret repaired but got sniped 3 times doing it. Respawned as infiltrator, sniped the sniper then went back as engineer and built the turret.
Then I killed about 10 people in a row, and a tank. Good times!

I have not played the game in a good few days. Mainly becuase the lanchpad shell says its update, then it closes. I am googling for a fix but people say reinstall.... does this mean i have to download 6gb again ? :(

got it working but now its not letting me log in. I am staring at my account details in my email and typing them into the launcher and its not letting me log in..... i tried to log in on the website but nothing!

I hear this game is really system taxing, how will it run on my system?

Also is it worth the time to play it, concidering I have BF3 as well and havent really scratched the surface of all the recent DLC's..

I should add I game at 1920x1200 res.

Spent 100 credit things on a new sniper rifle - should have trialled it first, it is bolt action and I prefer semi-auto.

Next thing to level up is my ammo carrying ability - never seem to be anyone around to restock my ammo. Especially because I am usually hidden away somewhere.

On Lithcorp here, any good outfits on there?
