Just been announced over at IGN

$499 for one with a 20gb drive and $599 with 60.

Also, they say that the 20gb version is missing its 2nd HDMI port

EDIT : Its been announced that sony are scrapping dual HDMI alltogether.

That's not too bad but is that the official *UK* price, or have The Sun just converted the US price from dollars into pounds, because as we all know it doesn't usually work like that.

Well it's 499 euros and 599 euros for them respectivley.

I believe they said no VAT included in the price, not 100% sure.

$499 = about £270 so VAT on top would make it £317, so I guess £350 sounds right

Certainly expensive! I think the 20GB version is now not going to have any HDMI at all, the 60GB will just have the single connection.

Great misleading thread title. The Sun is cack. As we all know, it's not as simple as converting dollars into pounds. $499 will mean £400 for us, I'm wagering.

Well, it's been announced as €499 Euros as well, and recent console launches haven't been quite as unfair as that. I expect £380 would be about the highest it might go.
