***Official Reading 2009 Thread***

Arctic Monkeys are one of the most bland acts ever live imo. Saw them a few years ago, they had 0 energy. They just played their songs and walked off the stage.

Ac/Dc would be good. I'm still in 2 minds about getting a ticket.

Apparently those 20 are:

Kings Of Leon
Kaisers
Placebo
Fall Out Boy
Arctics
Prodigy
Maximo Park
Radiohead
Bloc Party
Vampire Weekend
Brand New
Glasvegas
Gossip
Friendly Fires
Florence and The Machines
Gallows
Jamie T
White Lies
Gaslight Anthem
AFI

Looks like I was more or less right.

Was just about to post that myself :p.

Fantastic if that's the line up. I missed KoL in 2007 due to watching the Subways (I love them, but what a mistake, missed KoL in their prime).

But I've always wanted to see RH at a festival and enjoyed myself when I saw the AM's in 2007 in Liverpool Acadamy.

Just had this sent from a mate (for Leeds btw).

mm Offspring, saw them in '99 at Reading and it was awesome.

And I also missed most of KoL in 2007 due to watching the Subways as well, not that I minded as I had a great time and much prefer the smaller (even though that one wasnt exactly small) tents.

Got my credit card out ready now, really hope I can get some this year. Last year I wasn't fussed and dithered about so didn't bother, but really up for this year whatever the lineup is.

Not too fussed if ACDC aren't there as off to see them in June anyway :)

I must admit I'm very disapointed theres no Blink or Limp Bizkit. Both massive bands for most people who I go to Leeds each year with, they would have gone down a treat.

It's a terrible lineup, the only band I really love out of any of those mentioned is Radiohead. It does seem very odd that they've decided to play Reading/Leeds considering half the crowd probably only like TheBends cuz itz got riffs like.
