Official Saints Row 2 Thread

Ye game does not sound in such a good state either but quite a while to release. :)

I have to say not really to much is got me excited from preview think GTAIV going to destroy it but we shall see later on.
 
I think GTA IV might be a good thing for this game. It will completely shadow it during the build up and when it comes out it should be a very nice surprise for everyone.

Take me for example, I am interested in it, I loved Saints Row, I will probably buy SR2. But, I am so hyped up about GTA IV I cannot be bothered to read anything on SR2. So when I play it, hopefully I will be pleasantly surprised at the changes they have made. Does that make sense?
 
Yes, ScarySquirrel. I'm the same. I haven't watched any videos from SR2 so my expectations aren't too high that the game won't meet them. As long as the PS3 version is not a crappy port, I'll be happy.

i love saints row possibly more then GTA. it was a great game imo. I finished it which is more then i can say for any other GTA. Though i will of course be buying both.
 
This made me laugh actually..

throwing people out of windows, of the tops of buildings.. COUNT ME IN

Some of the stuff they have added looks real cool I just hope it isnt all laggy gameplay

I just can't get excited about this game at all with GTA IV so close to release. Once I have gotten bored with GTA then maybe I will be able to think more about Saints Row II ;)
 
Theres a new trailer available on gametrailers that showcases some of the weapons and vehicles available in the sequel. Looks pretty cool, shock paddles! :D Vehicles include jet skis, helicopters, plains. Really looking forward to this game.
 
Wasn't a fan of the first. The animations were terrible as was the player "customisation options". If they've improved both of those then I'll give SR2 a try. :)
 
That's looking like great fun. I'll take constant action and stuff blowing up over GTA4 - which tbh is becoming more and more of a chore as time goes on. It's great when the interesting stuff happens, it just doesn't happen often enough.

Anyways - running around SR2 in co-op and throwing your mate into trains should be worth the asking fee alone. Fingers crossed it isn't bug ridden and rushed out the door.
 
new trailer that was just released looks really good!!

i think its safe to say i think sr2 is looking better than gta4 was!
