Has anyone uploaded any of their own videos on YouTube yet!? I can only find the pre-release stuff and I'm waaay too impatient for a glimpse :eek:
 
Its a good game but it is unnacceptable that the frame rate will tank to 15-20 when there is a lot of action going on on screen...in DX9...with no AA.

Changing graphics settings doesnt make a difference either.

Ofcourse it may be due to the fact that the game is only using 35% of my CPU....
 
So tempted by this, but haven't been able to download the demo. Every time I click on the Download Demo button, nothing happens. Very frustrating :(
 
Can't believe I caved again after the Empire disgrace. How can any big release these days not be shipped with any form of AA? Patched in later just isn't good enough. You can be sure that it won't be optimized properly if it wasn't ready for original release and it'll take several patches and months and months of waiting before anything vaguely resembling working comes along... Only myself to blame this time for buying knowing it would probably be a mess, but were they not desgning this from the ground up with AA? Did they reckon people wouldn't notice?

TBH, I think I'm more annoyed at my own stupidity this round.

Yep Total War games have always taken a few months to get up to scratch hence why i've taken the more reserved approach and will pick it up next month or so after these things have been patched in. I
 
aa will be patched in alongside directx11, yeah its the exact same situation as crysis 2 except I see no mass hysteria/whine about this happening on this game for some reason, probably because they're isn't a console version they can blame for it i guess
 
well considering they are using an updated napolean engine I just find it hard to believe they didnt ship the game with some form of aa. Directx11 I'm not too concerned about because as a developer point of view not everyone has D11 cards so why focus on it but come on no AA!!! I can't remember the last time a AAA title such as this one was shipped with no AA.

I will buy this game no doubt about it but it wont be for a few months.
 
Me too Paddy, but at the moment it smacks of "Ship it in any old state; the gamers will still buy it in the bazillions."

Just like Empire, just like CoD Black Ops (to name two).
