*** Official SONOS Thread ***

There is no passthrough setting for DTV, only MPEG, DD, DD+, HE-AAC or Auto. The only passthrough setting I see is for Digital Sound Out which is already enabled as is eARC. The other options for Digital Sound Out are PCM and Auto.

Hmm, on my TV which is 55" cx it's - Sound > additional settings > digital sound out. Can then change that to auto, passthrough or pcm.

I'm thinking about picking up a Sonos Beam. I have an LG B8 (so only ARC) and I've seen a lot of people have problems with PS5s.

Does anyone have any experience? Everything I've found via was quite old. Has there been any update to the B8 or Beam to help with any issues?

Seems to be hit and miss. Some people getting lip sync errors and drop outs some people aren't with no concrete fix or why some do some don't.

You could always get the Beam gen 2 and pair it with a HD fury arcana (I know it's added cost), but that will give you eArc then and DTS when it comes on the next update.

I did have a look at this but don't think I can justify it when all I'm looking for is a cheap, decent soundbar looking to add rears in the future. I know it's not really a Sonos issue but it's a shame!

The Sonos arrived and I get the delay on both the PS5 and Series X unless I select Linear PCM (I'd be potentially looking at picking up rears so this isn't really a good option). I don't think there's any way around it with my TV.

Is there anything cheaper than HDFury? My TV is limited to 4k 60hz and the Beam Gen 1 has no Atmos, so HDMI 2.1/120hz isn't really needed. There seems to be a few generic extractors on Amazon that do 4k 60hz. Would they do the trick?

Just an update. I bought a cheap audio splitter from Amazon (splits from HDMI into HDMI/Optical). Does the trick. No delay now with PS5/Xbox. It's a proper faff having to switch HDMI cables depending on what console I want to play/want to watch TV but I realise this a proper first world problem .:p

If I had a TV capable of 120hz/VRR the HDfury may be worth it but I'm stuck at 60hz either way so don't see the point.

I found if I put the XBX in bitstream>Dolby Digital and turn on passthrough I get a delay in the Xbox menus but in games and apps there is no delay.

Edit/ actually ignore me, YouTube is fine but nothing else seems to be

I'm having some issues with my Port, I have line out from it to a Roksan amp and then passive speakers. Is the Audio from TuneIn, Sonos Radio and Deezer (with a normal subscription) in stereo?
