Companies don't write code from scratch these days at all! There's a whole industry around providing common code to games companies - netcode, physics, graphics engines, trees even.
 
We'v had a couple of people leave over the past week or so, our main tank who had full rakata just sent a message which consisted of "I quit." in it to an officer.

Luckly we have my gf whos fairly geared now and a dps who has full columi tanking gear.

Still happy with the game, I dont see how pugs and casuals are going to do the new instance on story mode, we've just got 3/4 down and that wasnt easy.

If anyones on the arkanian Legacy server (sith) and looking for a guild just send me a whisper on Jessicaa
 
I'm enjoying it and i acknowledge i'm only Level 35 and just finished Chapter 1, but i've also purchased Guild Wars: 2 incase things start to drastically change in a negative way, for example, when i hit Level 50 and find myself bored to death like i was in SWG when i was Level 90, which consisted of just waiting for PvP to happen.

Gunslinger is a lot of fun at 50 ;)

LOL so keep playing WoW then. You forger it took WoW 8 years to get to where it is. You cant replicate and surpass that over night with 2 years or so development etc. Be realistic.

I love my spec consisting of Dirty Fighting as the primary tree, and then some points invested in Sharpshooter, i can regen energy, stack DOT's, get out of CC's and deal a load of damage as well as reducing damage and dodging attacks. No class is a problem for me so far.

Difference is that WoW never had that within 6 months of release. In fact IIRC Blizzard had to suspend sales to allow themselves time to catch up with server deployments due to the number of players.

Game might be doing perfectly fine, it's just all the promotions to allow limited free trials etc look a little desparate to outside eyes. Add to that a comment by one of the devs or community reps a few weeks back where it was basically implied that they care more about getting new subs than keeping old ones (wasn't the exact wording but it was heavily implied).

I was spec'd into SS for the levelling and still am now. Around 50 you get illegal mods which speeds up all casts time significantly, and then XS flyby, which is arguably the best aoe in the game. Imagine my glee when from levelling 1 - 50 as basically single target dps and then I get that bad boy. trash just melt underneath it. And it's great in PvP, too. Awesome :D

I am yet to try Dirty Fighting because I have great success with SS but I think I will give it a try soon.



I play on Dxun Battle Circle.
 
Just trying this out atm, finding my feet (before X-Rebirth, GTR3 and GW2 come out).

Is there a way of transferring one character over to another server?

What are the subs like? (main site is down for maintenance)
