Official Team Fortress 2 June Update Thread

Was playing this (PS3 version though) just now and played as the Pyro for quite a while. It's a pretty good class for when there's a lot of people in one area i.e. taking a CP.

I ran in while there were 4 enemies taking our CP in overtime and fried them. Critical Hit popping up all over the place. :p
 
You've just gotta accept that the Pyro dies a lot due to the nature of being close range.

The main problem is the hit detection with the Pyro though, have you noticed the Pyro kills some people extremely quick, yet some people dont die for a while even with the flame going through them?

This is hopefully what they mean by Pyro 'core' changes, that and they are giving him a different pointing system for assists and setting people on fire.
 
the Pyro class as it is is fine. Its hard to play, but very fun. What needs to be fixed is the scoring. Ive often played as Pyro and set hordes of people on fire and got only a coupld of assists the whole map. They need to get more points for assists, as its the low scoring that I think puts people off.

In core gameplay, I think the pyro is fine.

Looks like ill be ignoring TF2 for a while to let the Pyro spam fest die down...
