I loved Tropico 3 and the DLC

pre-ordered this a while ago !!

RoboSprog · 28 Aug 2011 at 14:13

Not gonna bother buying this. Really let down at this, loved tropico 3 and the expansion

compboyo · 2 Sep 2011 at 18:39

So as a guy who only played Tropico 1

Should I buy 4 or 3?

I hear there is minimal difference?

Dave85 · 2 Sep 2011 at 18:40

ive played some of anno 1404 its quite fun and addictive time consuming

compboyo · 2 Sep 2011 at 20:17

but say tropico 3 and 4 were same price which would you recommend

Does 4 improve on 3 though similar?

RoboSprog · 2 Sep 2011 at 20:46

4/3 same price? 4, of course, but 3 because it's cheaper, get the expansion with it.

compboyo · 2 Sep 2011 at 20:55

right well theres no hurry I might wait for T4 price drop then.

Kosmiche · 2 Sep 2011 at 20:58

Does anyone reccomend settlers 7? I think its similar to these games.

Dudderz123456 · 2 Sep 2011 at 21:48

Wish I had tried the demo before I pre-purchased this....

GIBURROWS · 8 Sep 2011 at 09:10

So must have games are Tropico3, Anno 1404?

I have civilization and C & C the first decade(doubt there will be a second one with what EA have obliterated!!)

Neil79 · 8 Sep 2011 at 09:21

All of the anno series are amazing, can't go wrong with any of them!

Myself I'm not a Tropico fan

SB118 · 8 Sep 2011 at 10:58

Played the T4 demo, then bought T3 from steam. Cracking fun.

CaptainRAVE · 8 Sep 2011 at 11:09

Will probably pick up T4 when it is a fiver or so on Steam (probably won't be long!).

iamtheoneneo · 12 Sep 2011 at 09:25

funnily enough i couldnt get on with tropico 3 but seem to be playing this quite easily.

Gigi · 12 Sep 2011 at 15:44

I've been playing through the campaign and starting to really enjoy it. Good wee challenge at times, and its good for something not too serious, not a lot of micro-management, but still good fun.

compboyo · 12 Sep 2011 at 16:07

Whats major diff between this and ANNNO?

the era? wars? trade?

Anno has more stuff, more complex?

dasyad · 12 Sep 2011 at 21:07

Really enjoyed the Tropico 4 demo but never played Tropico 3

Anno is far more complex, trade plays a massive part in it.

randal · 20 Nov 2011 at 15:06

For someone who's never played either of these games, but adored Sim City back in the day(s) what version would you recommend I go for?

I'm guessing 3 over 4, as 4 isn't that much further on and 3 times the cost?

Or is there something else I should be looking at that's more up my street? Ideally I'd like something I can pick up from time to time, without having to plough hours upon hours in to it.

Any idea how this would run on lower hardware as well - Macbook Pro GPU 320m @ 1280x900 for example...?
