**Official Uncharted 2: Among Thieves Thread**

Stupid question:

How similar is this in terms of control method/gameplay to the first?

To say I am blown away by this game is an understatement. I love it, and if the first one is anything like this I will pick it up.
 
The first one isn't a great deal different in terms of control and look, but there's only a single player mode.
(Which is officially the most inappropriate use in history of the word 'only'.)
 
So it's worth picking up if I have enjoyed the beta so far?

My PS3 is only allowed to play awesome games, I have my 360 for the dross. ;)

I saw and unlike many other "official" mags, they dont give a PS3 exclusive a high score becasue they're exclusive. For example Infamous got 8/10, motorstorm PR 6/10, uncharted 8/10 so a 10/10 is a pretty good score. Still its not as funny as that french PS mag that gave it 21/20 :D
 
So hows everyone finding this? Think Ive played with pretty much most of the OcUKers in this thread and really enjoying it. MP very much reminds me of Res2 which got me into PS3 FPSers...

Loving the Co-op Arena which me, TSG and Aeon something completed today after a few tries - got very good at that now with some nice tactics (and quite a lot of dumb luck) - cant wait until we get more maps and imagine there will be quite a lot of DLC for this. This will keep me playing U2 MP...

Co-op Objective should be good - just unsure on its longetivity - though I guess with Crushing its pretty impossible. Deathmatch is DM so a welcome (default) addition...

All in all with a cracking SP these are the many cherries on the cake and I cant wait for the real game - between this, Batman and Infamous weve had some cracking SP games this year...

Damn, been busy at work and never had time to keep up to speed with the beta. Haven't pre-ordered it as I'm leaving it as something for my wife to get me for my birthday.

Does anyone know if any other sites are planning to release codes? :(

You wouldn't regret it if you did. The first one is the only game I've completed on my PS3 and it's brilliant. Never normally into adventure type games and don't like Lara Croft games so was surpirsed to enjoy it but the story and comedy was top notch.
 
Well, went to try this yesterday and my download wouldn't install - had to download it again then when I did try to get a game I just sat trying to find players for ages, I gave up and went to bed :(

I'll try again later.
 
I've only just recently got a ps3 , and Uncharted was one of the games i got with it! I was shocked at the amazingness of this game and then saw this post and wow :D gonna have to play through uncharted at a fast rate i think.

i've just gotten to the plane wreck, and killed all the enmies and some guy just got owned by some spikes (trap)

Chapter 5 iirc Still early on, plenty of awesomeness to come. :)
 
tried signing up to IGN to get a beta to found out they have all been claimed (not surprised) will anyone be kind enough has email my trust with a spare code?
