Apologies for the lack of updates everyone, I've been inundated with X79 & GPU reviews which shows no sign of slowing and coupled with me new 'underboss' role means I don't get as much time for anything else.

I'll update as and when I can .

Nothing else has been altered on my pc either.

funily enough if people run more than one monitor disable your monitors for a run. It scored me and extra 60 points only running one screen for the bench.

Changed to the 12.1 preview drivers & gained over 300 points Sapphire toxic 6950 @ 960 core 1451 mem

2x 6950's overclock and unlocked to 6970 speeds. Running on a P8P67 x16 - x4. i5 2500k @4.6

Id be interested to see how my results compare to fellow 6970 crossfire users at stock on similiar motherboards, either at x16x4 or x8 x8 or x16 x16.

Thanks Tommy. I'm gonna run it again and match my clock settings for CPU and GPU to yours and see what my results are. That should show me how much performance im losing on the 4x lane.

I couldnt get my 6950's stable at 1Ghz core clock. Highest they would go was 950Ghz 1.250Volts. So what i did was run the Core at 950 and the Memory at 1350. I lost 50mhz on the core to Tommy, so i added it onto the memory instead. Not ideal as more is gained from overclocking the core but what can you do.

Just enjoy them the way they are!

It is still fantastic performance anyway.

I only run them @1GHz for the likes of the odd benchy anyway.

I tend to just leave them @950/[email protected] anyway, sometimes less as they tend to eat everything you throw at them on 1080p.

Aye i run mine normally at 880/1375. I can get up to 925 on the core with a slight voltage increase to 1.2. The memory can go to around 1450-1475 at 1.3.

Hmm, are you sure nothing else changed? I've got a similar system to you (see sig) and I've gone to the new 12.1 drivers and it didn't improve my score at all, still ~1120

As an aside is your Toxic running with the 6970 bios and have you had to do much to get the overclock that high? I've not had any luck getting over 930/1345 yet but I haven't tried pushing the voltage up?
