1995 here with my 470's, albeit i had them clocked at 820mhz on max volts on afterburner. Bit of a friendly challenge me and w3bbo done, as we were both running very similair air cooled rigs.

LOL, Rockin the 65 position with the highest 5850 xfire bench. Crazy as they are low clocked (900/1120) and running on an ASRock xtrm4 g3 with the i5 @ 4.4 on the standard HS/FAN!!

New scores from myself.
1x 7970 @ 1140MHz core & 7100MHz memory (Stock voltage & Stock cooler)
I've managed to unlock the clocks a little more by using an older version of MSI afterburner (1.6.0 Beta 5). Voltage is still locked though.
The maximum stable and visual corruption free I've managed is 1140MHz core and 7100MHz memory.
This has given another 5-7% performance boost over the previous OC scores, very impressed.

Crazy score, well done and thanks! Did you have to increase the BIOS volts by much to achieve those impressive clocks.
These amazing bench scores are the best advert AMD could have wished for, great to see how hard the 7970s can be pushed and compete with dual-gpu configs. I'm sure even under air it can be pushed a bit more, we'll have to wait for non-reference design such as Gigabytes GV-R797OC-3GD with windforce cooling.

If you want it to be a comparison you need to run the benchmark with 4xAA.
Thought i would bring my MSI 560ti-448 running on Windows8 dev as a comparison.
