How does Virtu MVP make so much difference? For a while I was thinking I'd got a golden chip that could somehow beat heavily overclocked 7970's

I've noticed with Heaven benchmark that I get a better increase in fps when I overclock the memory rather than the core.
Do you think this could be why ATI have the edge in this benchmark given their bigger memory bandwidth??

Not sure, but the big gains from the memory are because of the smaller interface on the keplars.

I still can not get my head round how bad kepler gpus run on this benchmark. I can remember the days when nvidia cards ran much better.

Just got my 7850 today and am not getting the performance i expected and my scores in this benchmark are half of what every other 7850 seems to be getting.

that does seem very low, was getting more than that with 1 6870,
latest drivers?
edit. Just noticed you don't have tessellation on either
Uninstall drivers, reinstall, make sure you have latest drivers for chipset etc, what your performance like in games?

Worse still you have Tessellation disabled.

Will your cpu clock higher it could be bottlenecking.

I found the issue, the CCC is so horribly complicated and unintuative that when i setup a application profile for a game earlier i have mistakenly set the defaults to 4x Supersampling AA as well lol

I seem to have got a right lemon when it comes to ocing though, 1150 @1.2v is all its got.
