Your performance is that bad? Looking at your specs I'm surprised. There are people in our guild with specs far far lower than yours who are running it completely smoothly.

Mine is running like a dream but then again I do have high specs, but hell we have one guy in our guild who has 1 gig of ram and an athlon 3000 and its running grand for him.

Well maybe you can help me out then. I am running everything maxed at 1680x1050 with x2AA and x8AF and I am getting 18 to 25 fps in the bigger public quest areas. Is that about right or should it be running better?

My PC runs most games rather well considering the spec, so that's why I have not bothered upgrading.
 
I've been trying out the other classes today. Squig Herder is great fun. Anywho, some new screens:

Yeah, you should be getting quite a bit higher than that I would have thought with your spec.

I'm averaging no less than 60fps in a PQ area, usually a fair bit higher than that though. I run at 1280x1024 with x8AA and x8AF on, though my spec is (I guess) high.

Even though i posted a lot of negatives, im enjoying playing it. I can see it has potential.

I'm loving the tome of knowledge and the monster kill tracking with the titles for killing etc. Great addition.

RvR has got me extremely annoyed because its not explained at all. I got this khaine quest didn't know what to do, joined a RvR game then there was this level 9 with nearly infinite health, never dying, just destroying everyone, so i thought sod this and stood around doing nothing. I'm guessing class balance isnt sorted yet :rolleyes:.

And when you cap a flag thing, this massive fire nova things pops out and kills everyone??? Annoying as hell if you dont know what its for and i STILL DONT!.

I've moved to a higher populated area with more quests npcs and players, game feels a bit richer now. Just realised there is only 2 professions........... thats really bad.

Going back in.

What is the difference between open rvr and core?
 
In open rvr you are permanently flagged for pvp. So if you are running about outside of the designated rvr areas, you are flagged and can be attacked etc. The biggest drawback of this is that on Core, if you want you can go back to say Tier 1 when you are level 40 if you want to help a guildy or whatever. On open rvr , you cant, because of the chickening rule.

Though they may well change that I imagine.

I'm guessing he was a fair bit higher than most of the other people in the scenario, the level range for the first scenario is 1-11, so if you jump into it at level 4 or something it might be a bit rough. Having said that, I dont actually do the scenarios anyway because WoW killed instanced pvp for me so I tend to only do the RvR in the open areas instead of the instances

Yeah they can be a bit confusing at first, having said that, some of them are explained in the current manual, so I am hoping that at release the release manual explains the rest too.

Well of course everyones perspective on which is the most popular is different, and may also be different per server too.

But from my perspective on my server, it feels like its Bright Wizard for Order and Shaman for Destruction. That might not statistically be the case, but it feels that way.

Just an idea m8 but i was silly enough to miss it so mabey others have :p

I ordered the game through D2D and entered the code i received from them, but you also have to go through the 'code' process again and enter an open beta key.

Worked for me.
 
hey guys, i finally got a new PC up and running to play WAR, anyone have an open beta code for me to try the game out with ?

cant wait to jump on the game, me and the GF will come onto the same serer as OCUK if thats ok.

on the war eu beta key i cant find one anywhere, im a bit late :(
