***Official Wrath of the Lich King Thread***(Contains spoilers)***

Has anyone got any really really good mining guides? I'm up to 110 mining in about a hour and i really really need to boost this for making gold asap.

I don't think there's such a thing as a good mining guide, since it's so reliant on there being no one else farming the same zone as you. I just recently got mining from 0-450 and I did it over 3 days I think. The biggest help was some cave in the Wetlands where you get fast-spawning nodes of Incendite and Tin that will get you up to 130-ish.

After that it's just circuits of Arathi Highlands to get you to 175 for Mithril, then circuits of Badlands/Tanaris/Searing Gorge to get you to 245. Make sure you smelt early to save yourself those few points traipsing around. Buy ore to smelt if you have to - 50g for a stack of Mithril or Thorium ore could save you 2 hours worth of tedium.

I found EPL best for Thorium, but you may find other zones better, depending on how many Deathknights there are levelling up their tradeskills.

Getting to 300 is the only hard part. I got from 300-375 in no time just on Hellfire and then Netherstorm (you need an epic flyer). 375-450 is similarly easy; I am surprised at how little competition there is for Northrend nodes.

No, there are always gaps afaik (I could be wrong). Sometimes when the smelt is green for a skillup you can go seemingly 20+ bars for each point.

Level 43 now :D

Love triple XP! Cant wait to get to 55 for my death knight.

Any help yet with a decent talent build for my level 43 Human Warrior? Im all Fury at the moment following WoWWikis Fury Build.

The best place to look for this information is going to be the stickies on the Warrior forums. The Arms tree is traditionally seen as a PvP tree, but when I levelled my Warrior, I found that Mortal Strike was pretty good at killing mobs as well. My Warrior was twinked out with an Epic Axe though. In the early 50s, Mortal Striking didn't seem to be so effective and I went back to Fury.

You're going to have to face the fact that the Warrior isn't especially easy to level up until you're just finishing Hellfire Peninsula at 61-62, at which point it becomes extremely fast with the new outland equipment you'll get. Just get your head down and get going would be my advice. Levelling is so fast that you're unlikely to make that much of a difference swapping specs every 3 levels.

Thanks.

I used these on the Beta and Live servers. Feel free to change anything around, as I'm not much of a theorycrafting person so not bothered if some other talents offer 5 more DPS than another :) Some talents I missed out I feel are very situational and quite gimmickly so I don't miss them tbh.

Blood: http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=jf0GVhcIsf0xzN
Unholy: http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=jZZfM0IxfoMcqMcouL

Go straight into Hellfire Peninsula. More EXP and decent quest gear from the start.

Great, thanks a lot for the help with that mate, will go give it a go now, which is probably a good starter at 58, from what I heard Blood is a more attacking tree, Unholy more passive/mixed and Frost/Ice defensive?

I think I know the answer to this, but humour me..! :-)

Getting back into WOW after a two year break, so decided to reinstall and get the expansions.
I got TBC really cheap, but it appears to be a second hand copy - the key is already used when I try to upgrade. I'm stuffed, aren't I? If so I'll pursue for a refund then do the decent thing and head to the shops later. Thanks for any advice, even if it's blatantly obvious. lol.

Yup... needs to be new.

More info on mmo-champion today.

Runestrike with DK's is getting a major nerf (to strong against other melee classes) and the damage is going down, threat up.

Blizzard have confirmed that DK's are a little to reliant on cooldowns and going to try to fix them.

So far DK DPS in the grand scheme of things seems to be the lowest in the game going from the links and charts I have seen, while hunters seem to have the highest (I believe a Hunter from Ensidia pulled out 5.1K DPS).

Done Naxx yesterday, I was 3rd on a boss fight, with a ret paladin second, and a hunter first. To be fair though we are probably slightly more geared than the other classes we had with us (a mage I believe and a Balance Druid).

Im trying to reinstall after a good couple of yrs as well, but i get, this key has been used, but i was the original owner, can this be activated again?, and would it be possible to retrieve my old character?

If the key is used I think you are pretty done for. The key is used directly in to the account you are using it on.

For example if you have an account with the original game and TBC, and your account name is john then:

John
Serial for original is 1234
Serial for TBC is 6622

Well both of those serials are now used for the account john, and if I gave you my disks the only thing you could do is install the game using them, but you would not be able to actually "upgrade" your accounts, or create accounts using the serial numbers included.

I also think that they can restore a character, but after that amount of time they may no longer have it on record. You could contact blizzard though and find out.

Truthfully though, after 2 years I would just re-make your character, it takes very little time to level now, and you will figure out how to play again / changes in the mechanics in the game.

I will say one last thing, I purchased A Blizzard Authenticator the other day, and after using it for a few days am really happy I did, easy to install / setup and works great. It is a little bit of a pain to have to enter a 3rd code each time you login, but better that than risking your account safety in my opinion.

The amount of people I know that have been hacked, that have anti virus / anti spyware is alarming,

I'm finding mages are more over powered, ours are always top, followed by our DPS warrior, Retri palla and DK.

We dont' have one lock :O its really fail.

Seeing as I haven't played in a year, and haven't played lower levels in about 2 years, how long is the 0-60 grind now? I heard before that some changes had been made, earlier mounts and a lot less xp per level?
