***Official Wrath of the Lich King Thread***(Contains spoilers)***

If class change is brought in then I won't be playing, the game will be an utter joke.

Won't ever happen. It's too much of a logistical nightmare. Gear, skills, mounts, etc would be taken into account. Cosmetic stuff will happen, but I doubt even race change will happen due to the racials. It's too game-changing.

Indeedly, if they allow race change then everybody will start paying for the preferred arena racial.

ain't this all going to be fubar anyway when duelclasses comes? and all is hybrid?

I meant msg my friend from hord/to ally or different server while in game. or is the only way is to run in windows mode?

just playing though the new deathknight start area its pretty sweet

also whats the cheapest price of Lichking?

Personally, I think dual specs is what the game has been crying out for. Having had a prot warrior/holy paladin (before the 3.0 changes) meant that trying to do anything else (dailies/pvp/etc) was just horrible, respeccing for each raid then back again just wasn't feasible.

The only shame was that they didn't get it done before WOTLK shipped, it would have made getting dungeon groups whilst levelling so much easier as all the healers/tanks could have had a dps build for levelling and the other spec for 5 mans.

AFAIK there is no way to communicate cross server. There's definitely no way to communicate between Horde and Alliance ingame and I don't believe Blizz will ever implement it - the amount of griefing and abuse would simply be too much, plus imagine the tradechat spam :(

ahhhh right its only duel spec for a moment i thought they where talking about duelclasses like hunter/preist lol

The game seems extremely polished now with nice features. thinking about playing it until the new star wars mmo

Stats wise for combat or mutilate spec's aim for 99 hit rating as a bare minimum, at 99 hit your special attacks (muti, finishing moves etc basically anything other than auto-attacks) will no longer miss.

you will need 9% total hit rating to cap your yellow damage against lvl83 mobs.
thats about 300hit rating at 80, get it as high as you can but atleast cap your special move hits.

edit, if you talent precision, thats 5% right there so you just need the other 4% as hit rating to start with.

Although they still have not brought out an option to move toons between EU and US accounts. That must be along at some point.

Well i heard that WoW accounts will in future be turned into battle.net accounts so SC2 D3 WoW will all have the same account for online play. This i assume will allow EU players to play on US server and vice versa and also combine the forums (hopefully)

That's kind of the point. They're making the game way too easy to play with all the recent changes.

A lot of the changes have removed a lot of the hassle, but I wouldn't say it's too easy just yet.

I just hope Ulduar puts up more of a fight than the current 80 raid instances have.

Been lvling my Dk ...Love it tbh and having np soloing any and every quest . Previous was 70 Rogue who i have retired for the moment as having to much fun with DK .

I am Unholy atm . Can anyone suggest a better lvling/dps spec than Unholy ? (lvl 65 atm ) (Casual player)

Only going from memory here so I might be a bit off, but frost was a good (the best?) leveling tree for DK's.

As for the comments about changing hairstyles, races etc being a paid for service... SOE have already adopted microtransactions because they tested the waters and found it to be profitable. Other companies are watching how it pans out with keen interest. If it were up to the developers themselves, microtransactions would not exist. However, it's the 'suits' who ultimately call the shots.. and they don't play games.

I'm not too happy about all this. At the moment it's just a few 'fun' trinkets and xp potions, but it's a slippery slope imo.

Stick with Unholy. I tried Blood and Frost and they're not worth it. You have your pet who can tank and does a hell of a lot of damage then theres the Gargoyle who, again, does a lot of damage.

TBH that sort of gives you 2 pets who can take the aggro of you and help you do the quests faster.

Agreed, not to mention on a pale horse and all the aoe damage you do. It really is the fastest spec I have found for levelling up and grinding as you go.

I must admit I have retired my DK for now, always at least one or two in every five man heroic I go so I'd rather just wait and continue when the novelty has worn off. Great fun to level but waste of time instancing (my server at least).

Whoop

I leveled as blood I thought that was extremely enjoyable. I'm now 80 and doing the odd hc and raid. Its great the raid buffs are really good.

I think unholy is prob the best aoe lvler. But imo Blood makes soloing elites very easy due to the amount they can heal themselves.

I think I will stick with blood for quite a while tbh. Altho when the dual spec thing comes out I will deffo have a look at unholy

I built my DK for levelling around Unholy with a splash of Blood. When I hit 80 I switched to Blood for a while to see how it works and then Frost for the same reasons.

I've been playing the DPS role in instances recently - mainly due to the large number of tanks on the server at the moment - but as I've just managed to hit 543 defence I'm now going to go back to tanking and offer my services in heroics.

I will be looking to run will something like this spec: http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=jbEMZ0xZfghI0bkMcq0csux

The shadowpriest is once again fun to play. Of course useless in pvp, but great fun for raiding. Passing over the 2.5k +spell power mark (with trinket) is awfully nice :p.

I managed seven 7.2-8k mind blast crits in a row on Patchwerk last night. Loadsa fun :).

I do wish they'd fix rogues though; Master poisoner, HaT, they're hard to keep up with.

Managed to grind the Bloodsail Admiral title in a couple of hours on my death knight yesterday, pleased to finally have a title! :P

I'm levelling as blood for the moment, absolutely loving it, the single target damage is insane. It's quite easy to solo 3 man quests my own level (74).

Ghoul can't tank, it won't come anywhere near your threat unless you are just auto attacking. ;)

Blood is fine for leveling, the only big plus of Unholy is the mount speed which is why I'd say Unholy has the edge, I tried Blood and there was nothing wrong with it though.

It was also quite refreshing not having the **** ghoul taking 3 seconds to come back out the ground every time you dismount. I swear whenever I dismount and start attacking a mob the ghoul doesn't get back out the ground
till the mob is nearly dead, they need to change that.

I now use Blood for raiding all the time, scales pretty well with gear as the increase in DPS I've had over the past few weeks has been insane. (with new gear of course)
