Xiaomi look well set to steal the "Flagship Killer" title from OnePlus with this keenly priced phone!

£315 = 6GB RAM / 64GB ROM
£350 = 6GB RAM / 128GB ROM
£390 = 6GB RAM / 256GB ROM
£445 = 8GB RAM / 128GB ROM (Explorer Edition)

6.28" AMOLED screen (with a notch)
Snapdragon 845
Android 8.1
Dual GPS
12 MP (f/1.8, 1.4µm, 4-axis OIS, dual-pixel PDAF) + 12 MP (f/2.4), 2x optical zoom, dual pixel phase detection autofocus, LED flash

No 3.5mm jack

Looks like a total iPhone X clone, but starting at a 3rd of the price.

Personally, I'm not a huge fan of notches, so I went with the Mi Mix 2S instead, but this is a cracking phone for the price (I'm salty about the AMOLED tbh).

I've just ordered one of these but have since read about the thermal throttling on the snapdragon 845 processor. Is this a real issue in real life performance or just bench marking? If it is a real issue what other phones should i be considering in the same price range. I have paid £468 for the 8gb 128g global version sold by a well known retailer. It also comes with a 2 year warranty.

No idea, my Mix 2S gets a bit toasty with extended gameplay, but I haven't noticed any throttling.
