Actually Becks half way line goal has been repeated on many occassions since. Some spring to mind are Seedorf's and more recently Graveson for DanePak against Romania. Scoring from the HWL is mighty impressive but actually not rare.

I think the fastest official goal of all time was from the halfway line, some sydney(?) player scored in 4s with such a shot in the aussie league a few years back.
