I have a 250GB SATA disk that I installed about a month ago. Its a dynamic disk, and been working fine, until today. Im using XP Pro SP2. Its still recognised on bootup and its shown in device manager. But its not shown in My Computer and I cant access any of the data on it. I used it as music storage and had all my CD's ripped to mp3 and FLAC which took days and days, so I really want to get it all back.
In Disk Management, the disk is there but is offline. I can right click and attempt to reactivate, but it doesnt and says 'The operation could not complete. Check Event Log.'
In the system log there is the error
'INTERNAL Error - There are no valid log copies in the disk group ' which occurs when I try to reactivate the disk, and also the error
'dmboot: Failed to auto-import disk group RyDg0. All volumes in the disk group are not available.' which occurs on bootup.
Has anyone got any ideas what the problem is or how to solve it? Pleeease, I really dont want to lose all my data
