So ive been having a go at overclocking my 3570k with the asus p8z77-v lx2 mobo and i set the voltage to auto for a 4.2ghz oc and during full load the voltage goes up to 1.25. I was wanting to try and decrease this a little so i set a negative offset in the bios to 0.05v. However under load it put the voltage down to 1.1 and the computer promtly bluescreened during an occt test. i then tried setting it to -0.005 and again it knocks it down way more than what i was expecting? is there some other setting i should be looking at to compensate for this? LLC?

use + voltage then, auto is probably adding something like + 50 if you use just + .005 then it will still be less

What you suggested worked great. i set it to +0.015 and it now sits at 1.16v at full load with prime95. Yeah i dont pay the electricity bill see so any way i can save some is a plus for me!
