Anyone else here gone live with Ogi in Wales?

Ogi.wales

Am getting a line installed with them on Thursday. My area only went live on Monday.

Yup, I've had them for about two years.

Bottom line, I've been super happy with them, well impressed.

Spoke with the lead engineer when it went live, I wasn't happy with the pings initially (they were around 18ms). He explained that they were due some upgrades and new fiber routes and that it should improve within 2 months.

True to his word, one day they dropped to around 8-9ms. It's been rock solid since. I can only tgink of one time where I had a connection issue, this was when a solar flare caused severe power outages in Cardiff about 18 months ago.

I've got the 300/30 package.

Good to hear, cheers @bledd. I've signed up for the 900/900 package. Hoping it works with my UDM-SE without the need to tinker anything too much, instead of using their own gear!

Using my own kit too, obviously using their fibre modem, then ethernet from that to the wan port on my router.

Installed this morning after a go live this week.

Still got my Sky fttc on and a dual wan capable router, I combined the lines and hit 1008 download but other than the inbuilt speed test (doesn't always complete either) I had no Wan connection over Lan, also Ogi doesn't seem to play nice with the addblock DNS servers so a couple of things to iron out over the weekend.

Nope, when I placed the order I told them I didn't want them but they told me to accept them then sell them as they didn't want them back.

Sorted my adblock all working now and set my sky fttc as a hot back up for now. Will probably try combining them at some point to try and get a registered 1000+ speed test.

You must be fairly local to me, want to buy them lol, probably put them on the MM.

You using them? I read that to use certain features requires a subscription.

Ah that's good to know then I put my order through on the website. I couldn't find anything about them insisting on their use or wanting them back so was unsure.

Nah I'm not using them now. I did for the first day after installed until I managed to run a new ethernet line from the fibre installed to my ubiquiti dream machine in the attic.

Was going to gift them to my parents to help with their poor WiFi coverage until I realised the price.

Had an invoice yesterday for £10 which is the symmetrical speed cost above the normal contract.

Assuming you did too?
