Just drunk a bottle of wine to get my courage up, and ordered...

Panasonic GH2
Panasonic GF1
Panasonic 14-42mm
Panasonic 20mm pancake
Olympus 9-18mm

(will be selling the 14-42 and getting a 14-140 or 14-42x down the road)

So long D200, it's been a blast!

This is why browsing the internets whilst drunk is a BAD thing :p

I remember buying a Samsung D500 phone years ago for £450 when they first came out.

Seemed like a genius idea at the time. My £350 bank balance didn't agree though :p

I think the issue was I hadn't bought any new photography gear in a couple of years, severe build up of GAS (gear acquisition syndrome) :p

Without using my google-fu is the above stuff those Mirrorless cameras? :)

If so, how comes? :)

It is, yeah.

I've been finding more and more since starting a PhD, giving up my car and having my girlfriend move in that I have less opportunity to go out and dedicate time to photography. I still find myself in pretty cool places that I'd like to photograph, but usually in a work/social context where I don't want to be lugging around an SLR.

By moving to m43 I can still have a fully featured SLR-styled body (the GH2), and also a (jacket) pocketable take anywhere rangefinder style body (GF1), with a bunch of small lenses that aren't going to cause me to run into helicopter weight limits all the time.

Fair play mate :) - Will be interesting to see what sort of images they produce!

Your going to be annoyed if Canon announce a mirrorless system next month :p

Great taste in booze ;) Laphroaig is lush.

I once got very mashed & ordered 3 sets of suitcases from a TV station, that seemed like a cunning plan at the time too lol.

GL with the camera, pics when it comes.

:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Mantoys!

Everything arrived :)

(except GF1 due tomorrow/monday)

Just been playing around using my aquarium for something to shoot... ETC video mode is incredible, decent macro recording using the 14-42 kit = mind blown!

lol what happened to waiting for the the GFX1? :D You can hack the GF1 if you need higher quality video output/more manual control.

Enjoy :)

(Don't forget Panasonic jpgs are rubbish, shoot in raw and use lightroom/capture one etc)
