• Competitor rules

Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. The full rules can be found under the 'Terms and Rules' link in the bottom right corner of your screen. Just don't mention competitors in any way, shape or form and you'll be OK.

Oh great, Now we have CPU game exclusive features

I'd have no issue with a DLC exclusive to Intel purchasers for X months, or even it's free for Intel users, but to hard-code a feature set locked to a CPU vendor is both disgusting and pathetically desperate.

When you can't compete on outright performance you need to find a new battle ground.

Edit: Also why can't I send you a direct message on the forum? Look out for an email from me tomorrow :D

Select his profile and there should be an option to start a conversation, failing that you're stuck with Trust.

Doesn't work! Tells me I cannot start a conversation with him and that he is very possibly a proper 70's style hippy!?

What it actually says is that "you may not start a conversation with this recipient" ... Similar I guess!

Ouch.

I think the admins enabled conversations between regular members a few days back due to issues with the Trust system, I'm guessing it's now disabled again now that Trust is working.

Shame as it was handy!

Just certain people it doesn't seem to work for. I know it's working as another member sent me a very nice update to let me know he had resolved an issue I was trying to help with.

I might have something switched off, or there's a block because of my repeated 7-day suspensions :P

I've started convos with Cenedd before though, I'll go check.

8 suspensions in 18 months...I should stop visiting the GPU forums :p

I just show a serious amount of restraint in certain forums :) To this day I have still never blocked anybody as sometimes I do enjoy reading the junk. Anyways this chat has been beautiful but once again ive managed to take something massively off topic.

Back on topic - Apple did this (changing battle grounds) years ago when they realised that they no longer have the best hardware so started battling everybody in the court rooms (I'm thinking apple vs Samsung). When the traditional battleground doesn't work you need to find a new attack vector!

Why, why, why would you lock away graphical features to a specific CPU!?

Because the financial insentive outways the backlash is generally how companies see it. Things like the general public whom just buy games wont notice the articles or difference etc so win win for them in their view.

From all accounts the game is garbage any way - but there seems to be no actual feature set dependency for these features so also a garbage move and people shouldn't buy the game on principle if they care about the bigger picture but sadly most won't think like that.

Intel are determined to run thier reputation and name into the dirt with anti consumer tactics it seems. The forced socket upgrades being why they are hated but now we got more reasons to hate.
