Been abit emotional today, tears running down my face. I know why though, my mum has gone through so much from heart ache, to lost loved ones to suicide and bullying. She is however a mum that is special to the family, someone who would be proud of what you do in life and hold you if you are sad. I'm proud of my brother and sisters, they have so been brought up well.

So today I decided to put a family photo album together in a video, while adding music that is special to the video. I just about held back the tears, perhaps it's an emo side I don't know or the fact of seeing my sisters happy faces at 3years old. Or my brother pushing his buggy just about able to walk, then seeing now as near teenagers.

Do you have a parent(s) that you are proud of?

I'm immensely proud of my family, all of them. It at times might not be perfect.

The phrase is you can't choose who you're related to, but if you could I wouldn't pick anyone else. My family are brilliant.

I'm proud of my own family (3 kids and mrs) but not of my parents and sister. I've fallen out with them so many times over the years, earlier this year I decided to cut all ties with them.

my dads awesome my mum however is a money grabbing cow that ruined our family years ago.. ill never forgive her for ruining our old 9 bedroom house with lush swimming pool! it woulda been such a bird magnet now and id have been smashing loads of pasty if we still had the pool! GOOD DAMN U MUM!

I miss my dad, the guy was a legend. He did a lot for everyone, he was very well known. I love my mum to bits, I spend a lot of time with her as she is old now, and do my bit to keep her happy. Parents only come once, got to make the most of it.

My mum is absolutly amazing! She has looked after my brother, sister and myself since we were born and have never asked for anything back other than love and kindship. She has gone through a lot of tough times and we have helped her out, She is the best mum in the world!!

Nothing wrong with appreciating the people who raised you!

I couldn't ask for better parents tbh, my mum is bloody awesome and my father is deffo someone to look upto and hes taught me a lot when i've made silly mistakes.
Most other parents would have thrown me out before I even hit 16 but im thankful my paretns stuck with me and helped me through all the rubbish that comes with being a teenager!

I didn't appreciate my parents as much until early last year when I realised that I wouldn't be able to cope without them and same goes to my sister shes been brill with me even after the crap I've put her through over the years with my blatant ignorance to peoples feelings etc

Yeh I was a bad boy *facepalm* but without these people I wouldn't have become the person I am today

can't stress how much respect i have for my parents, as sad as it sounds my mum and dad are my best friends aswell as loving devoted parents :-) they always have been, but while im turning grey i can't help but be reminded that they are not going to be here forever, so the time i have with them is time i make worthwhile, now i am old enough to do things for them i try to as much as possible

i am also happy to see them watch my daughter grow up and see how much i have learnt from them in they way i teach and show her about life :-)

Lovely to read all these positive thoughts towards either mum, dad or both even your own family!

I have shown her the video and the sisters watched aswell, mum was so proud even heard aww from the sisters and some tears of joy. Great to see such happyness in families eyes.
