OH involved in a collision... Not a parody thread!

Style is pretty low spec IIRC, wouldnt be surprised if it was a good few hundred quid less than the Titanium

Will her policy excess will be taken from the final figure till they agree on blame?

Isn't the excess for a claim from Her against Her insurance. This is a claim against the other parties insurance.

Therefore no excess should be payable?
(This is assuming they don't go 50/50 in which case is 50% payable...???)

That's what I was trying to say, as far as I know the OP hasn't stated which way it's gone, so I'm assuming the insurance companies are still fighting it out. Until decided, I'd assume her excess would have to be payable and refunded if the decision goes in her favour. If she has a limited budget and high excess it could hamper her buying power. It's something I'd want clarifying personally.

Yeah they're still fighting it out, her insurance have agreed she is clearly not at fault as she specifically wanted clarification that the courtesy car would not come out of her pocket. The other side haven't admitted liability though as yet.

Do you think it could still go nasty from here?

Ask them to show you examples for sale now that you can buy with £1800.

I'd be going with this and making sure you can get one as close to yours as possible.

They've said they're writing the car off
They've said they're footing the bill.
They've said they're paying for the courtesy car.

Then they've gone on to say their client hasn't yet accepted liability?

So what happens if the clown turns round and says he doesn't accept the blame?
