Got bigger problems than paint to sort out first.....

The other corner is probably going to be the same. There was a good 2mm of filler on that quarter too, as I discovered when I put a grinder into it!

Starting to rebuild the inner panel so I have something to hang the lower corner off:

Trust me, for a Manta this is pretty solid!

It's not unusual to have to replace the bonnet, wings, rebuild the doors, replace all floors, inner wings, inner sill, outer sill, chassis rails, roof, jacking points, arches, boot floor, and lower 3/4 panels.

More chopping. Found about half a tonne of filler in the rear quarter, with plenty more to come out. Someone's had a stab at this before, but never actually replaced the panel.

Lower rear quarter is no longer available unless I try and order them from Germany at around 50 quid (wince!) a side. Hoping Capri ones can be made to fit reasonably well at around 15 quid a side.

Not going to get away with keeping the arches either, they are too rotten to patch. Plus the inner arch will need new metal letting in at either end.
