Oh... myyyy.... god!

Could get the same kinda power easier..

For the weight, displacement and being naturally aspirated, it's extremely good. It is very compact and provides excellent torque.

Yes it is very expensive but it's an excellent engine imo.

What would you propose that would be as light and compact, giving 300bhp+ without resorting to forced induction?

That engine is impressive, yes. But I was talking about bolting two Hayabusa engines together, which would be complicated and expensive, and be 160kg+ and 300bhp.

And whats wrong with forced induction?

The powertec v8 is based upon two hayabusa engines afaik and is around 360bhp in the radical sr8. and yes it is hugely expensive.

There's nothing wrong with forced induction. I'm just much more impressed with high power NA engine then i am with a turbo'd engine. Plus the added weight and bulk of turbo, manifold, intercooler and piping. I'm just not a fan of turbo power for light weight applications such as 7s. and i dont really like power delivery but that's just me.

It's not two Busa engines 'bolted together' :/
That phrase always amuses me :D I have an image of someone with a giant drill, nut and bolt just randomly securing 2 engines together and throwing them in the bay.

You don't need large amounts of low down torque when the vehicle being driven is small, light and low geared. Instant throttle response is whats required, and natural aspiration is the way to achieve that.

A supercharger would work fine. In fact I know someone who owns a 2.0 Supercharged Zetec powered Dax Rush, and its very potent. Personally, I love the power delivery of a turbo, so a turbo'd busa engine would do me fine thanks

The engine is a couple of hayabusas bolted together to make a v8 so i'm told. Probably the same engine used in the radical. Wonder what sort of power it's producing. Seems to have a couple of little traction issues :D

it has Racelogic traction control fitted ,the controller is on the dash{it is turned off for this run] i had it fitted to my mk1 172

you bought a clio 172 and then had traction control fitted? doesn't that sort of defeat the point? lol

not at all have you driven a clio in the wet or damp conditions,i had an offer from racelogic which i could not refuse it transformed the car many people who had a ride even other 172 owners said ther was no wheelspin and no slippage.Racelogic is a very good system and it has different settings i.e track use and weather conditions.it is a shame i had to sell it
