oh no DRM on harddrives

doesnt this article say that you wont be able to run programs that TPTB approve of? if thats the case, what about programs that someone makes themselves at home?

or open source stuff?

what about linux running on a PC with this 'trusted computing' chip in the motherboard?
 
I remember reading about DRM a while ago. There is a site that lists all hardware/software companies that will be implementing it. All the big guys were there - Nvidia, Adobe, AMD, Pentium etc etc etc. Ill try finding the link
