Oh no, not another router recommendation

Hi folks, hopefully, this isn't just another recommendation, because I have quite specific requirements :)

Currently have 200mb BB with Virgin, using SH3. However, since the number of wireless devices has increases signifiantly in the household, to 15 devices, the SH3 keeps dropping connections.

I have a budget of £200

The router/solution needs to support, wirelessly:

5 phones
2 tablets
2 consoles
2 laptops
2 TV's
1 Hifi
1 Printer

In a 4 bed house, no brick internals.

It must have parental controls, so I can set schedules (or something as good as) to enable connectivity for certain devices (eg, the tv's in the kids rooms)

We're fairly high internet users, the tv's are almost always streaming from Prime or Netflix, I'm generally gaming in the evenings.

Thanks :)

I presume you have no Ethernet cable laid anywhere in the house?

Only to the back part of the garage which I'd converted last year into an office.

Thanks for the advice folks, in the end, I opted for the Nighthawk R8000, since it fulfills the roles I need it to do without a seperate USG that the AC-PRO would have required.

Haven't had any dropouts so far, and all seems good, coverage around the house is really good too.

i've been looking at this router too. Even got one currently reserved at my local computer store.

I've read problems though of connecting this to VM Hub. is this the case still??

Also has wifi coverage increased at all?

Our house is a 1934 build with a tone of blue brick which severely limits the Hubs wifi range. To the point we've had to add a wifi extender on our landing (less than 10m away from the hub) just so my oldest can receive the internet in his room. From this he's currently receiving approx 20mb when testing through his PS4.

Am i right in saying that if the wifi signal is stronger to the adaptor the wifi speed from this would increase?

wifi knowledge isn't my strongest subject!

Whilst I don't have the same structured house as you, I can say, yes there were a few frustrations getting it setup to work with the VM Hub, though that only lasted 30mins :)

I had to power both up in a certain order (Netgear on first, then VM Hub, worked for me) otherwise the Netgear wouldn't establish a 'net connection properly. Had no problems since then, signal around the house is good.
