My spare HDD blacked out yesterday. It just dissapeared from My Computer after a couple of clicking sounds. I restarted the computer and noticed BIOS didn't detect it.
I then restarted the computer again after giving the computer a couple of big smacks and the disk was detected again but only this time the OS from the spare disk loaded instead of the OS installed on the main disk!n
Guess it's because somehow the BIOS reset the boot disk from the main HDD (which is a SATA drive) to the spare disk which is an IDE.
I've checked all the settings but nothing's changed, and I can't figure out how to get the computer to boot from the SATA disk again. I don't want to open the computer to do it.
Any ideas?
