Oh the misery...

You know that scene in Forest Gump, where the teacher is explaining to his Mother that Forest just missed out on normal education using a graph with Forest being just below normal.

If the movie was Shayper Gump and the teacher were a social worker, that graph would look like this;

> Normal People
>-----------
>You
>-----------
>Jeremy Kyle
>
>
>
>Followed by me and my woolly friend Dolly

Try harder to be less of a dick in future.

Had a problem with my amp after a bit of a close encounter with an electrical socket. I'm going through the insurance, don't see why not, that's what it is there for. Mind you they are taking their sweet time with it, excess is £50 amp is worth best part of £600.

Did i say it was the end of the world or similar?

I am dealing with it.....gonna make a slipper out of the cat, and dump the junkie kid in some marshes!
Now that's GD style.

edit: Lol, shoulda posted this in the AV section, would have had more sympathy for me poor amp.............. ...why i laugh?.... :(

Maybe I'm just jealous because I had to sell my AV gear :p

My mate once spilled a full pint of stella artois into the back of my 28" CRT TV many years ago while it was on. There was a loud crackling noise and a bit of smoke as i ran over to quickly unplug it. I thought that i was going to have to buy a new TV until about 5 days later when i switched it on......

...It worked, and did so for years with the added bonus of having a built in 'brewery' air freshener that filled the living room with the fragrance of beer. :D

Try taking the case off and drying it out, you may get as lucky as i did (+ free apple air freshener)

Well....accidents do happen but when I read:

"19 years old"
"smokes weed"
"always out getting stoned"
"pays only £60 per month keep"

I can't help but think make him pay for it. Frankly, if I wrecked something like that, I would expect them to expect me to pay for it. It's clearly his fault. Doesn't matter about the cat. He should have put his juice in a less school boy place.

In the mean time, try turning it on? That would be a good start. Sometimes things like this have a habit of surprisingly surviving, especially after a good spell in the airing cupboard.

Essentially this. I was paying 50 quid a week at home when I got my first job.
