Its taken 13 years, countless £1000's of pounds, and puddles of sweat, but I've finally taken and passed my test. :)

btw, it was my first test, I just kept losing interest. But this year public transport finally ****** me off so much, that I was left with no choice.

So expect me to join the ranks of Mondeo drivers on here fairly soonish (gotta move house first). Not yet sure how to install an IOS update on the thing but I'm sure I'll get the hang of these car things eventually.

Hmm. Are we getting the full story here?

Sure you don't just suck at driving? :D

Sorry, just teasing - congratulations. Freedom at last.

Oh no doubt about it, I definetly suck at driving. I think my boyish good looks convinced the examiner that I should be let loose on the roads.

Well done, dude.

I found my old lesson sheets the other day. Test booked at 8 lessons, three more lessons while waiting for the test and pass :)

Think I had 18 or so, I failed twice on hesitation. :(

Certainly don't have a problem with that now though.

Thats a poor show given how much you keep telling us you were doing all sorts of driving long before passing, I'd have expected much better from you :)

Eight lessons to learn how to drive on the road, do the required manouvers and so on to get to a passing competancy?

Not that bad, tbh.

It took two to stop left foot braking. I had a lot of bad habits to break :(

For someone of the ability you'd have us beleive, yes, it's not that impressive :)

Actually...I don't think I've ever commented on my ability as a driver other than 'I drive like an old fogey' so I don't know where you've got that from...

I've made a couple of sarcastic comments along the lines of 'opposite lock, elbow out the window, sex with a supermodel' for cornering a RWD car but I thought they would have been obvious as sarcasm...

It's not difficult to put your foot down in a stripped-out 998cc mini or 1300 mkII Escort and hoon around a course set out in a field with five other cars. Its a laugh though. You should give it a go :)

Wait...Maybe this is all an elaborate ruse and I have my test this afternoon

...

;)
