Are there any vehicles out there that use an oil that is "Below" 0 grade (IYSWIM)

(If not, I am sure that the time will come!)

How is (might) this sub-zero viscosity (be) expressed?

0W is good for -35C.

What do people in Siberia use?

Historically, they just leave the engines idling when not actually in use!

(Yes, All winter! this is one reason why Siberian cities tend to be very badly polluted during the winter months!)

The drive for lower viscosity however is not likely to be due to cold starting performance. It is the drive for ever greater fuel economy. Current Honda CRV diesels are not specified a 0W-20 oil because of our extreme winters! :p

I can easily see how even thinner oils might eventually become commonplace I am just curious as to how they might be described.

I saw a video a few months back of McLaren starting up one of the old MP-4/4 cars, the oil they put it looked almost as thin as water! What kind of grade would that be?

Below 0W doesn't exist so no one will be using it

It's purely a sign the oil has met a criteria for cold flow. The pour point of a 0W could range between -66C and -39C.
