I doubt there is £30 of difference which from the tech specs is a 3 db on headphone amp and additional headphone options 1 of the below options is new from what i've been told.
and supports ASIO 2.0
and has some driver features that perhaps the stx doesn't have but I can't see that from the spec sheets.
It has the same DAC chip and chipset so everything else is the same
Basically if you have an stx it's probably not worth the money, but to everyone else it's worth a punt. You may as well get the best you can as you won't be buying another for a fair while. Soundcards don't change a lot the STX II is the first change in some time from asus if we ignore the gaming series.
