Google Chrome here - and I'm getting the problem too on occasion.

It's a Chrome thing, works fine on other browsers. It's annoying because I prefer Chrome.

I think i've figured it out. I had a look around and it could be something to do with "DNS Pre-Fetching". This can be turned off in Options -> Under the Bonnet.

So far, so good.

Almost certainly related to a virgin media issue that was mentioned on the register today. They've having massive routing issues.

I do use Chrome but I'd be surprised if the browser is the source of these seemingly random time outs.

Funnily enough I haven't experienced any time-outs today and I've been lurking on the forums for a while. When/if they come back I'll see if it happens when using firefox.

Well it started happening again so I started up Firefox and yes, it is Chrome causing the issue! Very strange.
