So is this just a dud card then? Why is it performing on scale with a 5850??

try 9.11 beta drivers..

i just noticed my above result wasn't even at stock, it was running at 400/900. stock is 725/1000

Also noticed your max temp was about 58? Mine went to 82???

i would thought something is holding yours back.. if i was u i would try 9.11 beta drivers or clean install of windows before rmaing it

Nice one gareth... I will try the 9.11's and was waiting for my Windows 7 to be delivered before doing a complete fesh install of everything as nothing seems to work for me at the moment.

I also bought a 64gb SSD (Crucial) which can take over 2 minutes to get me to my desktop from booting up. Tbh I have had nothing but problems with this system I bought from Ocuk and am thinking of sending it back for a refund and going to a competitior. I can't be this unlucky with everything!!

Anyways I'm off to bed! I'm hoping I can eventually get this working but have little faith at the moment. This thing has been back for RMA's numerous times and I'm actually beggining to wander if it has spent more hours in Ocuk's testing labs than my home over the near 2 month period I've had it.

Before you RMA it can we get a fresh dxdiag.exe dump? If you RMA a working card they'll just charge you for delivery, testing and then delivery back to you.

Maybe you didn't have 1 problem but a few. Lets assume that driver one is fixed for now.

I notice that you are running a 64GB SSD that is nearly full. Maybe that is causing paging issues. Is it possible to clear an extra GB? Maybe run a benchmark on SSD and HDD(if you have games installed on it) to see that they are working correctly.

I would grab rivatuner, use the overclocking utility in it to force the mem/core clocks to their reference clocks and force the fan at 100% too, could possibly be that the card is not changing profile from low power mode when a game is launched.
