ok... whose the spy?

I thought this was pretty common practice tbh. Cheap, almost impossible to trace - or difficult to prove if it is - and most importantly, not illegal. Is obvious really, after all the web offers anonymity that you won't get anywhere else - you can create whatever persona you like. Also i guess it pushes up the search engine counts too the more somethings mentioned within a forum? I've heard lots of 'big' companies do it, sadly i've never been approached to do it myself:D

We are 'joking' about Fox, but tbh, just think how many people take his advice and respect his knowledge...he clearly knows his stuff so he'd be a perfect 'mole' if Ford wanted one! Just shows how effective a marketing tool it would be if done properly :D

In reality he'd be useless to Ford. He might pimp their wares on a regular basis but he's usually telling people to buy 2nd hand Mondeos which doesn't help Ford make any money at all.

true.. but that's what i'm saying.. if it was done properly, by a real mole pointing people in the right direction, it could well be effective and a hell of a lot cheaper than paying for an advertising campaign. You'd be suprised how malleable people are when marketing techniques are employed well. And how unbendable they are when the techniques are done badly! :)

I'll admit it, I'm a Spy for Square. That's why I keep recommending people play Final Fantasy 7 :o

Judging by the fine face of hair you sport, I assumed you'd used the fabled mustard method. ;)

Alas not.

I've done a full shave literally half a dozen times...when I was 15.

Then I started growing HUGE sideys.

I sported mega mutton chops (only shaving my 'tache' and a razor-width down my chin/neck) for a few years...occasionally trimming, occasionally growing it out to around 5" in length.

Then I converted to a big sideys/chinstrap combo that was usually trimmed.

Nowadays I only shave my 'tache and my beard is mahoosive.
