Ok guys ive bought a corsair 900D and i have an I7 1150 and 3 r9 290x's, can you spec me a decent WC shopping list. Chances are ill do it in 2 parts the cpu pump and rads then add the 3 full cover waterblocks afterwards to finish. Im totally unsure of the ideal rad/pump/res setup for the 900d i want to keep it all internal and this isnt going to be an overclocked to the nuts rig so i dont want to buy creme de la creme gear just good solid WC kit that can be expanded upon. Treat me like an idiot as i have never watercooled before despite being in the rig building game for 10 years plus.

As always many thanks ahead of time!!

this is basic parts that i think you should consider. I also have a 900D and run 4 radiators.

With the list below you should run the thicker rad on top and thinner rad on the bottom.

YOUR BASKET
1 x XSPC D5 Photon 270 Reservoir/Pump Combo £139.99
1 x XSPC RX480 Quad Fan Radiator V3 £105.95
1 x XSPC EX480 120mm Radiator - Black £66.95
1 x EK Water Blocks EK-Supremacy Clean CSQ £49.99
Total : £372.48 (includes shipping : £8.00).

You will still need fittings, tubing, coolant, and fans.

Do you have a budget in mind?

There are cheaper versions of radiators and cpu blocks. but that is just to give you a general idea.

But the D5 pump is a must since you are going 3 gpu blocks in the future.

The 2 quad rads is also great for all the blocks. If you plan to have a CD drive then you might want to consider putting a 360 rad on top instead or put the drive lower down the slots.

Its better to go all out in one go than changing parts later.

As above, I maxed out rad space in my 900D straight away on building it with three 780Tis.

2x 240 black ice and 2x 480mm (thinner variety in Blame's suggestion). GPUs whilst benching stay between 40-50c :).

When maxing out rad space though your case temps can start to get a little toasty, so I've cut a 230mm fan into the side window. Alternatively you can use the rear fan as an intake ;)

That actually looks awesome frosty :) didnt realise you had done it already.

Unfortunately the gpu blocks alone will set you back £300 I spent just shy of £500 for gpu/cpu loop in mine now got an extra 7970. It really is worth spending the money on it not only will the cool temps protect your hardware but it saves the going deaf in one ear when your pc spins up :D
